Medieval Train Station (UE5)

Environment I've done for the "Medieval: Back and Forth" ArtStation challenge.

The concept is done by Lam Long Him:

I chose this concept not only because it looks amazing, but it also has great potential for a real time environment with a lot of moving details, which I put a lot of emphasis on.

This scene utilizes Lumen for lighting and Nanite for foliage only.

Foliage was modeled in SpeedTree, which was my introduction to the software, and I have to say it is amazing!

Everything else was modeled in Blender. I chose to not go the modular route for this project since the main shot is from afar and there is no need for finer detail.

Texturing was done in Substance Painter and the final video in DaVinci Resolve.

There are 4 different animations for the pulley:
Belt was animated firstly in blender with a single bone that goes up and down, then I put a tiling material to create the look of rotation.

The wheel has two animations, first is a simple rotation around its axis and the second one is the wobbly effect.
